Fine Art photography exploring identity, human presence, and inner transformation.
Lesley Solama is a Budapest-based Fine Art photographer whose conceptual photographic series explore identity, human presence, and inner transformation.
My name is László Som, and I create my work under the artistic name
Lesley Solama.
For me, photography is not simply about capturing a moment. It is a visual language through which thoughts, emotions, and human stories can be expressed. Through the use of light, form, and symbolism, I create images that reach beyond appearance and invite deeper reflection.
My primary focus is conceptual and Fine Art photography. The human figure, most often the female figure, frequently appears at the center of my work. For me, it is not merely a visual form, but a reflection of identity, memories, relationships, transformation, and human dignity.
I think in terms of series rather than individual images. Each project begins with an idea, which gradually develops through visual elements, symbols, and the language of light. Translucent materials, body painting, carefully constructed compositions, and recurring motifs are not decorative elements, but essential parts of the meaning behind the images.
I began consciously building my artistic path in 2012, and created my first Fine Art series in 2014. Since then, my photographs have been presented in national and international exhibitions, receiving professional recognition, including FIAP Gold Medals and awards at international photography competitions.
I believe an image becomes truly meaningful when it does not close a thought, but opens a dialogue with the viewer. Through my photography, I do not seek to provide ready-made answers, but to create visual experiences in which everyone can discover their own interpretation.
